Oertli Launches easyPhaco®Technology


easyPhaco® is a great step towards more safety, more speed and more comfort with phaco emulsification.

easyPhaco® applies a completely new fluidics concept with high flow and vacuum settings. Chamber collapses are practically impossible and belong to the past. The giving off of ultrasound happens purely axially and the efficiency of the energy transfer is a multiple of the traditional phaco. High vacuum and optimal opening geometry result in enormous holding power of the nucleus material (holdability). The rejection of lens fragments is eliminated and the ultrasound energy is absorbed by the nucleus material. Thanks to easyPhaco® the lens material will be sucked in magnetically towards the opening of the tip (followability). The chamber remains without any turbulence at all. 

The superb performance of easyPhaco® is striking right from the first operation. A change of surgery technique is not necessary. But do forget the maxim "safety thanks to low vacuum and flow values" - you can work with full fluidics absolutely safely and extremely efficiently. Thereby, vacuum (and flow with peristaltic) is fully opened.

easyPhaco® is used with 2.2mm up to 2.4mm incisions. But 1.8mm CO-MICS can also be optimally applied with easyPhaco®technology. easyPhaco® is available for all OS3 and CataRhex SwissTech platforms. The only thing required is easyTip®2.2mm or Oertli easyTip®CO-MICS for sub2mm cataract surgery.
