During surgery, intraocular pressure can change continuously. Dynamic infusion extends traditional Passive and Active infusion through adaptive IOP management.
Dynamic infusion compensates for changes in intraocular pressure. This allows IOP settings close to the physiological level while supporting stable intraocular conditions, even at high flow and vacuum settings*.
Active infusion generates a constant infusion pressure via the air supply to the BSS bottle and allows settings of up to 120 mmHg. It can be used with standard 500 ml BSS bottles made of glass or plastic*.
The passive infusion follows the traditional principle where pressure is determined by bottle height and regulated by gravity. It is mechanically driven, can be controlled in cm or mmHg, and is an economical solution as part of most phaco and vitrectomy packs*.
