SPEEP combines the advantages of a flow-controlled peristaltic pump with the dynamics of a vacuum-controlled Venturi pump. With SPEEP, both flow and vaccum are controlled independently*.
The peristaltic pump is flow-based, and though it can be finely tuned, the vacuum can only be built up by occlusion up to the preset limit. The higher the flow, the more speed you will get.
The Venturi pump is vacuum-based. The vacuum builds quickly and is adjustable, but the flow is not directly controllable. The higher the power, the more speed you will get, the same effect as a vacuum cleaner.
Thanks to the standardised cassette type, you can switch quickly between the pump systems and structure your surgical workflow efficiently. The desired pump system can be assigned per programme, enabling immediate use of the preferred and procedure-specific technique*.
