Anterior vitrectomy

With Oertli surgical platforms, anterior vitrectomy is ready for use at any time. The pneumatically driven vitrectomy cutter allows for traction-free work. Depending on the cutting instrument, up to 1’200 cuts a minute are achieved. With the Caliburn trocar system, anterior vitrectomies can be performed in a transconjunctival approach by gaining access via the pars plana. Thanks to the integrated compressor, compressed air supply from an external source is not necessary, which even enables surgical interventions under unusual circumstances.
