OERTLI OPHTHA LAB
We have launched the ‘Oertli Ophtha Lab’ at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The highly specialised lab will be used as a flexible research laboratory for our new technologies.
The research conducted in the lab gives us access to the latest technical developments, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and robotics, enabling us to integrate such research into our own development projects. The Institute of Medical Engineering and its highly specialised laboratories also create the perfect base for carrying out development, verification and validation projects.
The Ophtha Lab links research and education and provides students from various engineering, medical and biological disciplines with an opportunity to complete their Bachelor and Master studies in an innovative, collaborative, and exciting research laboratory.
The collaboration between Oertli and the HSLU has already yielded several promising optimisations that are currently undergoing testing by us. It is expected that these innovations can be brought to market in the next 24 months.
We are proud of this collaboration and see it as another important source of ideas for future development and verification of our products.
