CATARHEX 3 MAKING THE DIFFERENCE WITH SPEEP®

The CataRhex 3 surgical platform from Oertli proves that great things sometimes come in small packages. With unbeatably compact dimensions and a lightweight at just five kilograms, the phaco device CataRhex 3 is systematically focused on mobility and portability – without compromising on performance. With the new SPEEP pump and the familiar easyPhaco technology, we have developed an effective tool for simple, safe and efficient work in routine surgery.
The capsulotomy tip is used to open the capsular bag using high-frequency diathermy. There is an integrated compressor for anterior vitrectomy, and the HFDS application ensures promising long-term results for glaucoma surgery1.
Make the difference – with the CataRhex 3 phaco machine for cataract surgery by Oertli.
Small platform, great performance
The CataRhex 3 by Oertli is a consistently compact and portable surgical platform for cataract and glaucoma surgery. The whole load of Oertli’s innovative power is hidden in an impressively small housing. The perfectly precise flow control, the powerful performance and the high user-friendliness of the CataRhex 3, make it the ideal phaco device in eye surgery – in any situation anywhere.
Features of the CataRhex 3
SPEEP® pump
The SPEEP pump uses the same principle as a peristaltic pump2 to control the flow. SPEEP also allows the vacuum to be controlled with the foot pedal.
easyPhaco® technology
Fluidics based on physics. Thanks to Oertli's fluidics concept, easyPhaco allows a direct fragment followability and provides a strong fragment holdability.
HFDS®
HFDS stands for High Frequency Deep Sclerotomy. In micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), HFDS creates a direct access from anterior chamber to the Schlemm canal and further into the sclera.
The multifunctional pedal
The robust multifunctional pedal enables reliable control of the system with simple foot movements. The pedal is waterproof3, extremely compact and weighs just 2.6 kolograms.
Fluidics based on physics
Thanks to the precise flow control provided by the peristaltic principle, the CataRhex 3 provieds precision and force, both for phacoemulsification with easyPhaco and for I/A and anterior vitrectomy.
I/A with sophisticated safety design
The I/A instruments and tips with Safety Design have a long shaft to allow sub-incisional access and are designed for stable anterior chamber conditions.
HF Capsulotomy
Since its launch in 1991, high-frequency capsulotomy has proven to be the ideal method for opening the lens capsule in uncountable cases - entirely without the usual tearing by forceps and needles.
Simple and safe operation
The display is clearly laid out, the device is easy to use. The surgical platform is also exceptionally quick to start up: The system is ready to use just a few seconds after being switched on.
Accessories
As all Oertli devices, the CataRhex 3 surgical platform is a closed system that does not only comprise perfectly matching instruments but also tailor-made device accessories.
